Work Experience

University of Chicago, Computation Institute (May 2018 - August 2018)

Worked on collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm techniques for dataset recommendation for researchers using FaceBase's data transaction data.
Analyzed AWS Spot Instance data and analyzed the spot price patterns over a time series. Implemented mathematical approaches to this analysis using "Deconstructing Amazon EC2 Spot Instance Pricing" by O. Ben-Yehuda et al.

University of Chicago, Computation Institute (June 2017 - August 2017)

Analyzed large material science datasets and implemented machine learning algorithms (i.e. Decision Forest Classifiers and Random Forest Regression) to predict attributes of unknown chemical composition. These algorithms help form educated guesses about the outcome of future laboratory experiments where these unknown compositions are created (see github). Worked with Logan Ward and Kyle Chard.

Waaves (January 2017 - August 2017)

Waaves is a music sharing platform that encourages independent musicians and artists to collaborate with users from around the world. Based in the University of Chicago Booth School founded by two MBA students, Waaves creates an easy method of connecting with other artists. I am the lead developer for the Ruby on Rails based website with S3 and Heroku databses.
Waaves has achieved the semi-finalist stage of the New Venture Challenge presented by the University of Chicago Booth School.

VisMed3D BioTech & Engineering (June 2016 - August 2016)

Located in Merchandise Mart, Chicago, VisMed-3D is a global research and consulting firm utilizing a proven platform for innovative research, 3D surgical patient replica development and access solutions for healthcare and academic institutions to utilize visualization and 3D printing technology for state-of-the-art treatment and training.
